A Quick Wellbone Recipe: Rosemary Garlic Sirloin Steak

Ingredients:

  • 4 sirloin steaks, approximately 1 inch thick
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary, minced

Instructions:

  1. Remove the steaks from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  3. Rub the steaks with the olive oil and season them generously with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  4. Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat until it's very hot.
  5. Add the steaks to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until they are well browned.
  6. Add the minced garlic and rosemary to the skillet and cook for another minute, until fragrant.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and cook the steaks for an additional 4-6 minutes, depending on how well-done you like your steak.
  8. Remove the skillet from the oven and let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before serving.
